What was announced
Toll Brothers announced Regency at Lake Hills, a new Orlando-area community coming to Howey-in-the-Hills. The builder's press release came out on October 28, 2026. It is a planned 55+ community with prices starting in the mid-$400,000s. Sales are expected to begin in summer 2027.
The builder says buyers will choose from three collections of home designs, ranging from roughly 1,600 to more than 3,300 square feet. The community is planned to be golf cart-friendly. It will have direct access to Lake Harris, and a boat dock will provide access to the Harris Chain of Lakes. Planned amenities include a clubhouse, a pool, a fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, and walking and biking trails. A Lifestyle Director is planned to organize social activities. The release also mentions a new Publix planned next to the community and golf across the street at Mission Resort + Club.
What it means for you
If you are looking at Central Florida, this adds a new lake-oriented, age-restricted choice to the Orlando-area options in Lake County. The community is still in the planning stage. Toll Brothers is taking names on an interest list now. Floor plans, amenities and opening dates can change before sales begin, so confirm current details with the builder. Anyone who wants to buy before summer 2027 will need to look at existing communities in the meantime. It is also worth comparing HOA fees, lot choices and flood-zone details before you commit.
